LAKE PEEKSKILL — An 18-year-old man has been charged with sexually abusing two boys, ages 12 and 13, Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith said in a release today.

Pedestrian killed in Port Chester was Conn. resident
PORT CHESTER: A pedestrian killed Friday night after he was struck by a minivan has been identified as a Connecticut resident. Village police said Tuesday that Israel Valdez of Norwalk died of head injuries and blood loss after he was struck by a van on Westchester Avenue. Valdez and a 19-year-old Port Chester man, Freddy Alvales, apparently stepped into traffic just before 10 p.m., police Capt. John Telesca said. They were between Pearl and Poningo streets. Alvales was taken to Westchester Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening. Valdez was pronounced dead at Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital. The driver of the minivan, a Port Chester man, will probably not be charged, he said.
